Below are YouTube links to some of the breathing techniques (Pranayama) practised during recent face-to-face yoga classes. These resources are provided to support continued practice at home and to enhance understanding of the techniques introduced in class.

Bhramari Pranayama (Humming Bee Breath)

Bhramari Pranayama is a calming breath practice that soothes the nervous system, reduces stress, and enhances focus by producing a gentle humming sound. Beginners can start with 5 rounds, inhaling deeply and exhaling with a soft hum. If you feel lightheaded or unwell, stop and return to natural breathing, but rest assured, this is a safe and grounding technique.

Nadi Shodhana (Alternate Nostril Breathing)

Nadi Shodhana balances the nervous system, clears the mind, and promotes inner harmony by alternating breath between the nostrils. Begin with 5 rounds, inhaling through one nostril, exhaling through the other, and switching sides. If you feel dizzy, pause and return to normal breathing, but know this is a gentle and effective way to cultivate relaxation.
